Milliken Mills Lions Club President

President’s Message

It is my great  pleasure to welcome each and every one  of you for joining us in celebrating Milliken Mills  Lions Club’s 19 years of service  in our community. “WE SERVE” is our motto, for that Lions work tirelessly with passion to  help  make  a difference in the  community. This year, we  Milliken Mills Lions Club  is hosting Gala Dinner to help  raise funds  for two  life changing organizations; the  Heart  and  Stroke  Foundation as well  as the  Canadian Diabetes Association. The Heart and Stroke Foundation strive to promote a healthy  lifestyle without the risk of heart disease  and stroke.

Their  focus  remains   on  preventing disease,  saving   lives,  and  enhancing support  for  recovery. Equivalently, the Canadian Diabetes Association leads  the fight against  diabetes with  the  purpose of  helping those  affected, preventing the  consequences, and  discovering a cure  for  the  disease. They work today to seek a future rid of the effects  of diabetes.

I  would like to thank  our sponsors, donors, advertisers and media for their  excellent support and contribution. Special thanks to our Platinum Sponsors: Mr. Ray & Mr. Wally Gupta  from Sunray Group of  Companies, Sunny  Hajatri  from  Sweet Wedding Cards,  Mercedes Benz Markham & Mr. Prince Sibal of East Court Ford Lincoln, Mitesh  and Chetna  Patel from  Vimi Spa and RBC Wealth Management. It is with your generous donations we are able to host this Gala and raise funds to help our community.

Lastly, a heartfelt Thank  You, to  all the  members of  Milliken Mills  Lions  Club  for  giving me the opportunity to serve as your President again this year. My goal  was to involve all of our members to take part in club  activities and community service  projects, all while  having fun.

I  am pleased to announce that this year our club  has given  donations to: Vision of Hope, Guiding Dogs,  and  Autism Society  of  Canada. We  have  participated in  planting 10,000 trees,  donating clothes and food to homeless shelters, donating used eyeglasses, and donating funds to Camp  Kirk. We have also adopted a Milliken Mills  Park for  Park Cleaning Program.  I’m  so proud of my fellow Lions  for  their  continued effort  and  support to  make  Milliken Mills  the  Club  it is today.  Find  your inner  “LION”  and help  your  local  community be the  “BEST” it can be!
